Stuart likes to tell people.."this is the reason why his wallet feels so light"
As for me, I consider myself one lucky girl and couldn't be happier.

Update!

Many people are wondering what is going on in my life...
I think it is now time to make it known that I am moving to.... ALABAMA.
Random for those of you who are wondering, why on earth would I move there?
Well, because that is where my other half moved, in February for work. We have tried our hardest to make this long distance relationship work by visiting each other every 2-3 weeks, skype dates, etc. BUT, I miss Stuart too much.

Eleven days until he will be here to drive me down.. I am so excited I can hardly stand it!

I find it funny that I have had a blog now for over a year, but haven't posted anything since then. I am going to make it my goal to post weekly so I can update everyone about whats going on in my life! Yay for a new year and all the many exciting things to come!

Here are some random things about me

- I am in active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
- I went from never running, to running two half marathons in November and December of 2009.
- I am currently training to run the DC National Marathon on March 20, 2010.
- I get to hang out with a two year old all day, every day.
- I love to cook, most of my love and knowledge comes from watching my dad growing up.
- My favorite sport to play is basketball.. Volleyball comes in second.
- I was born and raised in Utah.
- I can honestly say that I was addicted to Diet Coke. I have now weaned myself off of it, resorting to Crystal Light.. My roommate Katie called it my nicotine patch.
- I like to write down check lists so I remember to finish important tasks.
- People have said if you eat an apple a day it will keep the doctor away.. Well, Ever since picking apples in an orchard last fall and coming home with thirty plus apples.. I still eat one, maybe two a day!
- When I was in third grade, I sucked in too much helium at my school's fair and fainted in front of everyone.. Woke up really confused with my friends laughing at me.
- I have a problem with getting sick of the cars I drive. I was on the streak of getting a new one every year.. I am about to hit two years with my little honda, except for I can't say that I haven't tried or thought of selling it. :)
- My first job was mowing two neighbors lawns. I made $75 dollars a week and at age ten.. I still don't know where on earth that money went or what I could have spent it on.
- Growing up I wasn't able to play on Sundays.. However, my parents let me go on a bike rides with my friend Leslie, who isn't a member. Little did they know we would ride our bikes to McDonalds, especially around Monopoly time! My parents didn't find this out until a few years ago.. They were shocked!! hahahaha. I'm sneaky.
- I worked with my dad at an engineering firm for three years where he was their General Manager.. He was my supervisor, I got to see him every day, life was great.
- Before I moved out to the DC area I would fly out every four months or so. So most of my traveling has been from Utah to VA. Now that I live here, my traveling is still the same, but I take less trips to Utah.
- I have always been able to make friends easily ever since I was little, despite my awesome looks.
- I got pushed down in the second grade for making fun of a boy's shoes. I had to get the gravel cleaned out of the palm of my hand and get stitches. Serves me right.
- My mom told me that when I stopped biting my nails, I could get my ears pierced.. Well, I stopped for about a couple weeks, and they got pierced! I still bite my nails to this day.
- I often get asked where I am from.. When I tell them Utah, they say.. NO, what COUNTRY! ... Umm, I am American.
- I dye my hair a couple shades darker than my natural hair color. Although I can go months without dying it again, you don't even notice the roots.. I like it that way.
- I have freckles on my face, but they aren't as noticeable in the winter.
- Over the years, I have dramatically decreased the amount of time I spend texting.
- I love to delete people out of my phone book or facebook.
- I have too many pairs of shoes.. I have three racks of shoes still in Utah, and my collection here has grown dramatically.
- Spandex pants were cool when I was eight, but hey! I am starting to wear them again.
- I love to go camping. There is something about the peace that surrounds you when you are surrounded by nothing but nature.
- I love the Jonas brothers.
- When I was in 4th grade my school was having a fair in the gym. My friends and I were sucking helium out of balloons because it made our voices all high and sound awesome. Well, I had a little too much because I woke up with them towering over me making sure I was still alive.
- People always try to guess which parent I look the most alike.. Since I see myself daily.. I will tell you. I have my dad's eyes, nose, naturally curly hair (when he had hair) and the same bone structure. My mom's ears and smile. And... What makes me... ME? My personality is definitely a combination of both of theirs.. I have my dad's shy side and my moms caring and crazy side.
- I suck when it comes to making a quick decision on what to order when I am out to eat.
- I have a strong influence on the little girl I watch (Kate) her mom says that she is my mini-me.
- I have a really bad habit of getting half way through a book and then forgetting all about it.
- One of my favorite things to do with a friend is go for a walk, and talk.
- 7-11 has a place in my heart for their hot chocolate in the winter.. and slurpee's in the summer time.. they cover all the bases.
- I love being tan, but at the same time.. I don't want to be the old lady with sick gross skin. I feel as if sun block will be my friend from here on out.
- I think I am going to start blogging more often, since I have more time on my hands. :)

New year...New age...New life...

I have had my blog for awhile now, but have never really known how to start it out. I thought it would be best to start it off in the new year of 2009. Looking back on my life in 2008, I have realized how everything has changed dramatically in such a quick amount of time. I am now living on the other side of the country, have a new job, new friends, what almost feels like a new life.
The main reason I moved away was to take a break from everything and become happy once again. I quit my job I had been working at for three years, dropped all of my classes, and decided to go live with Staci out here in Virginia. It definitely was a hard and brave step to get up and move out of my comfort zone, but I think it was one of the best changes I could have ever made for myself. The best quality of living out here, is the large amount of free time I have had. It has given me the opportunity to sit back and reflect upon who I really am and what I want out of my life and future.
Living out here on the East coast is definitely different than what I am used to. However, it is a good different, and I am glad to be apart of it. I have been blessed to work for such an amazing family, live with my sister, start and build new friendships, be apart of such a strong singles ward, and then of course, my favorite part... playing basketball once again! :)

Today, I turn 21, and out here that is considered REALLY young. I don't feel young or old, I've always been really mature for my age. I sometimes feel like my ward is a hierarchy system and I am at the very bottom of it. Everyone is older, well educated and have already started their careers. Then you look at me, I'm almost done with my associates, and still trying to figure out what I want to be. Ever since I can remember, up until a few months ago, all I ever dreamed of being was a Police Officer. Now, I have finally realized that the society has changed and they dont respect cops as well as they should. Putting my life in danger ever single day wouldn't be fair to my family. So when I figure out what I want to be when I grow up, I'll let you know.

Here are some fun pictures to help sum up my first few months out here. I have been able to go to New York a few times, and had a couple friends come visit me, it was great to see them. :)
